İSTANBUL – Berkay Akbaş who was medical student in Başkent University (Ankara) had lost his life in twin blast hit in Beşiktaş. Father Selim Akbaş “ They will leave some flowers on my son grave tomorrow. But nothing more. I don’t want to my son to be martyred. My son was slaughtered” said.
Berkay Akbaş (19) had journey from Ankara to İstanbul with his friends for weekend . The vehicle he was in passed from the scene. He was heavily wounded by bomb attack and taken to hospital by ambulance. He couldn’t be saved despite all medical efforts.
Father Selim Akbaş took his son funeral and said “ He was 19-year-old. Second year of his study in Medical Faculty. He just came to İstanbul for two days. Just for visit.They were passing there with the cab. That’s all. That’s such as coincident and simple. He is martyred because of this. I don’t want to my son to be martyred. My son was slaughtered. His dream was to be a doctor. To help people. But I am taking him back with hearse. Terror doesn’t end with condemning. We are condemning for years.They will leave some flowers on my son grave but nothing more. My son was slaughtered.”
