İSTANBUL / İZMİR – It was reported at least 22 people were taken into custody by raids in Istanbul and Izmir.
Police had carried out raids to many houses in İzmir at this early morning hours. It was reported over 10 people included worker union’s representative Ayhan Tural were taken into custody. Police took 10 people in custody because of shared posts via social media.
It was reported detained people were sent to police headquarter of Izmir after medical control.
It was also reported police had carried out raids towards houses in Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Ataşehir, Bağcılar, Ataşehir, Bahçelievler, Esenler, Fatih, Gaziosmanpaşa, Küçükçekmecek, Kartal and Sultangazi Counties of Istanbul. 12 people in 18 who warrant was issued were taken into custody and sent to police headquarter of Istanbul.
