VAN – HDP’s Urfa lawmaker Dilek Öcalan reacted to CPT because it didn’t release its report about Imralı Island visitation six months ago where PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is jailed. Lawmaker Öcalan said “ CPT has become a supporter of AKP.”

PKK’s (Kurdistan Worker’s Party) leader Abdullah Öcalan , who has been jailing in Imralı Island since 1999 has not been allowed to see his lawyer July 27 of 2011, Imralı Committee since April 5th of 2015 and his family since September 11 of 2016. All visitation requires are rejected by Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office of Bursa because of ‘adverse weather conditions’, ‘coaster has broken’. A member of Öcalan’s family and HDP’s (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Urfa lawmaker Dilek Öcalan spoke to dihaber about isolation over PKK’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Lawmaker Öcalan “ human concept is ignored in Imrali Prison by state and prison was designed by a politic concept. ‘An enemy law’ is implemented towards Öcalan because he is kept as alone in a small room” told Öcalan.

“ They had legislated for Imrali despite all prisoners have visitation right. Laws are carried out differently in İmralı, Silivri and Kandıra. Each prisons are run with different laws” said lawmaker Öcalan.

“ Öcalan’s ideas are started to be accepted and strengthened in the world despite he is kept captive as physically. His ideas strengthen in the world, in Kurdistan and Middle East. Democratic confederalism which is carried out in Rojava was a project and idea of PKK’s leader Abdullah Öcalan that he worked on it for years” told Öcalan.

Dilek Öcalan also remarked what is happening in the prisons right now. “ AKP insists to not being humanist and PKK’s leader Öcalan can’t even see his family which is his legal right. Families and lawyers of Öcalan has no information about Öcalan’s health, live and security conditions. That can cause to a chaos if people begin to concern about him” told lawmaker Öcalan.

Lawmaker Öcalan mentioned freedom of Turkey’s peoples are possible with Öcalan’s freedom. “ Kurdish People’s leader Öcalan is in Captive in Turkey right now. Therefore the most pain will lived is people of Turkey. European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) has become a supporter of AKP. They didn’t release its report despite six months passed over visitation to Imrali Island. Why don’t they release the report? Public opinion is still waiting for the report since six months” said lawmaker Öcalan.
