VAN – It was reported that sub-manager of Van T Type Prison who always remains on the agenda of Turkey about torture and batter claims told prisoners by handling coveralls “ We are preparing beautiful dress and you will be dressed this dresses soon.”



Families of prisoners in Van T Type Prison told to dihaber recent situation in the prison which always remains on the agenda about torture and battering. It was reported sub-manager of the prison told to prisoners “ We are preparing beautiful dress for you and you will wear it soon” after Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that prisoners will wear “ uniform”. Families also mentioned battery events are continuing in the male wings of the prison which had been occurred in the female’s wings of the prison.




According to family who come from Muş, Bitlis to Van, they are waited for hours in front of prison for visitation and most of families are not allowed to see their relatives in prison. A family of prisoner told “ One guard was waiting next to the each prisoner during visitation and we saw some wounded prisoners. We were told that guards and soldiers raided 3 wings and battered prisoners.”
