Educators Gülmen and Özakça's lawyer begins a hunger strike

ANKARA – Lawyer Engin Gökoğlu who is lawyer of educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakçan announced that he launched a hunger strike by saying ‘ I will defend their resistance with my hunger’.




Lawyer Engin Gökoğlu stated that he launched a hunger strike on 168th days of Gülmen and Özakça’s hunger strike.




“ We made a decision today. I will associate their hunger strike. I wanted to meet with court board for requesting Gülmen and Özakça to be released but we were denied. I decided to launch a hunger strike because this problem is not only law’s problem” told lawyer Gökoğlu.
