HDP PM's Konca released : This is not a trial, but Hostage-taking

BATMAN – HDP Siirt PM Besime Konca released on the condition that ban on leaving the country. Konca said “ This is not a trial , but hostage-taking” in her testimony.



Yesterday night HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Group Deputy Chair Çağlar Demirel and PM Besime Konca were detained in Ankara. Besime Konca had ben taken to Batman from Ankara. Konca was detained on charges of “ propaganda for illegal organization “ and “ being member of illegal organization”. After bearing testimony to the prosecutor Konca was released.



Konca “ I am a PM of a legal party which elected over six millions. This operation is political. Numbers of our friends were jailed because of Erdoğan couldn’t be president after June 7 Elections. A coup was staged to HDP. I am not commending this is a trial but hostage-taking. Judging is made by direction of political power. I am representative of Siirt People and I don’t recognize this decision. We will not give up from democracy and women rights struggle even if you put us in prison. Only People decision can judge me not Judgement which is belonging to the Palace” beared testimony.
