MARDİN – HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş spoke on his trail which was sued in Mardin. Demirtaş “Police officer who killed Russian Ambassador had been employed in Davutoğlu period when he was Prime Minister. Therefore he should be one who needs to be judge” said.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Demirtaş had testimony by SEGBİS (Sound and Image Information System) to Mardin second region court. Demirtaş said “I am lacked of defense right by SEGBİS system”.

Demirtaş also answered the claims on the accusations which are all about his speech. Demirtaş said “ All my speeches are political criticizing”.

Here is the summary of Demirtaş testimony;

“Many mistakes were made under the tutelage of Ahmet Davutoğlu. Yet those days were also peace process which was purposed to disarmament to PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) against Turkey. Operations directions were given by Davutoğlu Presidency to Cizre,Şırnak,Nusaybin, Sur and other cities which caused to many civilians dying and destroying the cities. Yet again these all directions given by high position security authorities are accused by July 15 Coup Attemption. The press statements and speeches I did on that days were politic criticizing the government’s implementation. Therefore I’m not the one who must be judged but Davutoğlu.

Yesterday also police officer who killed Russian Ambassador had been employed in Davutoğlu period. He is also was Prime Minister when our immunity was removed. Again preparing to appoint trustee to our municipalities was started in Davutoğlu period.”

After the Demirtaş’s speech, lawyers demanded to acquaintance for Demirtaş. But the court jury denied the lawyers demanding and delayed the case to 28 March 2017.
