ADANA – Adana Bar Prison Commission chair Tugay Bek had been detained by denounced. After judicial control decision released Bak , he said “ in fact there is no such a denouncement.All thing is set up by police and conspiracy comes into play”



Adana Bar Prison Commission chair Tugay Bek had been detained after twin blast hit in Beşiktaş with 25 HDP politicians. After the bear testmimony five people were jailed on charge of “ propaganda for illegal organization” on social media.




One of the released is lawyer Tugay Bek. Bek , had been struggling for years for human rights and he had been in front of line for peace and democracy. Bak stated that he was exposed to torture when he was detained by police forces. “ I also was taken to hospital with handcuff which is no legal . When I refuse to go with handcuff around 30-40 police started to punch me. I was taken into custody on charge of ‘being member of illegal organization’ by untrue denouncement then I was also charged ‘propaganda for illegal organization’ by some unreal evidence which includes some social media sharing as well” said Bak.




After Bak was released under the judicial control, he spoke about his detention process. Bak “ Police knows that there is no evidence against their claims. Therefore they set up unreal denouncement against me. Evidences such as social media sharing, caricatures, some local wearing pictures were presented against the charges. During the seven days detention no one asked me about unreal denouncement. I was also exposed to torture by police forces. The police beat me were stressing two things : One is there are 40 martyred and we will have revenge” said Bak.
