HDP Group Deputy Chairperson Yıldırım : Erdoğan aims to go to Referendum without HDP

ANKARA – HDP group deputy chairperson Ahmet Yıldırım said that amendment constitution means “ changing regime” and Erdoğan aims to go to referendum without HDP. “ Even one HDP PM left we will campaign against referendum. It is not a matter of discussion to negotiate over amend” said Yıldırım.

Amendment constitution which AKP (Justice and Development Party) and MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) prepared is still horse-trading in Commission of Constitution. Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) new group deputy chairperson Ahmet Yıldırım spoke to dihaber about amendment constitution.

Yıldırım reminded that 12 HDP deputies included co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ are jailed but there are still 46 more HDP PMs in the Parliamentary. “ If the Assembly decides to go to referendum for amendment constitution , they will make campaign about referendum even we left one HPD PM in the assembly” said Yıldırım. Yıldırım also reminded how it will be possible to vote for going to referendum in the assembly without 12 HDP PMs . Despite to Turkish Parliamentary speaker İsmail Kahraman saying “ We are working on it” , still there is no any moving about this.

“Parties can do active politic with their executives, chairs and specifically party groups. Therefore leaving us without co-chairs means blocking our referendum campaign against AKP. That also means crippling the democracy” said Yıldırım.

According to Yıldırım People will vote to “no” even it passes from parliamentary. “ Turkey people isn’t deprive of consciences. The people will not accept this unequal power politic. Even AKP voter will not accept this referendum. I believe many people will stand with HDP on the campaign against AKP-MHP coalition” stated Yıldırım.
