DİYARBAKIR – Tigris Communal Research Center (DİTAM) project which named “ Egalitarian and Pluralist Democracy Network” with 52 NGO’s called sides to find peaceful and democratic solution to end conflict with a common declaration.
DİTAM vice president and spokesperson of “Egalitarian and Pluralist Democracy Network” Mehmet Vural made a speech on behalf of all NGOs. Vural reminded Turkey is living with heavy civil war since one and half year. Vural called the sides to end this conflict.
After Vural speech , he also read the declaration :
1) Constitution should prepared by taking into the consideration separation of powers
2) Kurdish population and minorities’ rights should secured under the new constitution.
3) Participant-driven and plural democracy should be dominant.
4) Discrimination against different religion , language and ethnic origin should be ended by new constitution.
5) Legislative regulations should be issued for struggle against polarization and discrimination.
6) Hate crimes against peoples’ identities should be perceived as crime against humanity.
7) Should be struggling against specially torture implementations, impunity and cruel treatment.
8) People and NGOs should participate durum decision making processes.
9) Administration should be transparent .
