VAN – Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Bekir Kaya was detained. Police forces are searching the municipality building.

Police forces had raided to co-mayor Kaya’s house and municipality building in the early hours. After searching the Kaya’s house, police took Kaya to the municipality building for searching to his office. The searches are continuing in the building. Bekir Kaya was taken into the custody and was brought to Van Provincial Security Directorate.

Sanitiary affairs department head Yılmaz Berk, architecture Zelal Tanlı and an employee in municipality named Cuma Köylüoğlu were detained with Bekir Kaya.
