Trustees appoint to Mardin, Van and Siirt Municipalities

ANKARA – Interior Ministry had appointed trustees to Mardin,Van and Siirt Municipalities. Employees of municipality in Mardin and Van had reacted against appointing the trustee.

Interior Ministry had announced that trustees had appointed to Mardin and Siirt Municipalities. Ministry had announced “ Mardin Metropolitan Municipality mayor Ahmet Türk and imprisoned mayor of Siirt Municipality Tuncer Bakırhan were suspended. By Interior Ministry; Mardin Governor Mustafa Yaman appointed to Mardin Municipality, Siirt vice Governor Ceyhun Dılşad appointed to Siirt Municipality”

After the detention of Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Bekir Kaya, Interior Ministry announced that Van Governor İbrahim Taşyapan was appointed to Van Metropolitan Municipality as a trustee.

Police forces had blockaded the municipality building right after appointed a trustee to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality then police began to searching.

Hundreds citizens including municipality employees are still waiting in front of municipality building in Van,Mardin and Siirt.
