DİYARBAKIR – 40 people,32 of them were jailed included closed DİHA reporter Mazlum Dolan who were evictored from Sur during the curfew will go on trial 10 months later.
The trial will be hearing in Diyarbakır fifth heavy penal court. Prosecutor demanded aggravated life prison sentence on charge of “ Disrupt the unity and territorial integrity of the state” for 20 suspects.
Rest of 20 people included closed Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporter Mazlum Dolan are charged of “Being member of illegal organization” and “Propaganda for illegal organization” by aggravated life prison sentence.
51 people included 10 children were evacuated from Sur by Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) initiative on February 19, March 3 and 7. Twelve children were taken to Turkish Social Service and Children Protection Institution after their families were jailed. Prosecutor also sued to eight children between two and ten-year-old on charge of “ being member of illegal organization”.
According to official reports, 72 police and soldier lost their life 522 police and soldier wounded in Sur during 102 days of curfew. Also 74 civilian included 17 children were killed in Sur. 64 resistance were killed.
