İSTANBUL – Özgür Gündem Newspaper’s case started in İstanbul Court House. Opposite and foreign journalist didn’t allowed to follow the case and imprisoned Özgür Gündem Newspaper chief editor Zana Kaya and chief clerk İnan Kızılkaya didn’t brought to the trial by reason of “ Deficiency of vehicle and personnel”. Trial is continuing with Aslı Erdoğan’s testimony.



Closed Özgür Gündem Newspaper chief edior Zana Kaya, chief clerk İnan Kızılkaya, publish advisor and outhor Aslı Erdoğan and linguistic scientist Necmiye Alpay are judged on charges “ being member of illegal organization”, “Propaganda for illegal organization” and “ Disrupt the unity and territorial integrity of the state”.



Journalist Kızılkaya and Kaya didn’t brought by reason of “ Defiency of vehicle and personnel”. Court board also didn’t let opposite and foreign journalist follow the trial under color of small saloon.



Journalists’ lawyers , Aslı Erdoğan’s mother Mine Aydoslu, CHP(Republic People Party) PMs Barış Yarkadaş,Sezgin Tanrıkulu and Selina Doğan, Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) co-spokesperson Kılıç Koçyiğit and representatives of Germany, England, France and Sweden embassies participated the trial.

Trial is continuing with Aslı Erdoğan’s defense .
