İZMİR – Bearded and turbaned men distributed signed “Sıla Vakfı” (Sıla Foundation) and named “ We don’t celebrate new year” leaflets in Konak –İzmir despite every kind of action, demonstration is forbidden in the square.




Leaflets against celebrating new year was spoke out again after Reina attack. The last day of 2016 bearded and turbaned men distributed signed “Sıla Vakfı” and named “We don’t celebrate new year which belongs to Christians who turned the world as blood bath … Because we are Muslim” leaflets. Citizens who reacted against group who were distributing leaflets were faced with police stop.

Police forces were seen on the video when they were stopping the people who reacted. Police “These friends are celebrating news year like this”. Police also said leaflets are legal and there is no need to have permission for it.




Same group also made a protest in front of İzmir Governorship Building just two weeks before the new year against agreement between Turkey and Russia which was about Aleppo.
