ANKARA – An investigation was launched to İDH, THİV, SES and MAZLUMDER after complaint of Turkish Armed Forces by reason of reported about violations of right during the curfew.
Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Human Rights Association (İHD), Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (THİV), Health and Social Worker’s Union (SES) and the Association for Human Rights and Solidarity for Oppressed (MAZLUMDER) on charge of “ Humiliating the government”.
The Justification of investigation is reporting violations of right during curfew in Kurdish cities especially in Cizre.
Turkish Armed Forces had complaint to Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office due to prepared reports.
Also President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had been said “ We should push ones who published the reports. You are publishing report of what?” on 7 April 2016.
According to these associations reports, at least 321 civilian included 79 children, 71 women and 30 over 60-year-old lost their life during the curfew between 16 August of 2015 and 16 August of 2016.
Also at least 202 civilians lost their life under the poor health conditions during the curfew.
