DİYARBAKIR – HDP organized a public meeting in Diyarbakır to point out PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan’s prison condition. HDP executive Ayten Polat “ we don’t accept the lockdown over Öcalan” said.


People’s Democratic Part (HDP) Kayapınar Province organized a public meeting about to not receive any news from Kurdistan Workers Party leader Abdullah Öcalan. Numbers citizen and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) executives attended the meeting as well. HDP Kayapınar Province co-chair Ayten Polat said “ Öcalan is kept under the heavy conditions in İmralı Island. There is no news from Öcalan since 11 September 2016 when his brother Mehmet Öcalan visited him. State aims to destroy Kurdish population to isolating Mr. Öcalan. Only people can spoil the AKP (Justice and Development Party) and Erdoğan’s game. We know that right doesn’t given, it does taken. We don’t accept lockdown over Mr.Öcalan and we will struggle until it ends” said Polat.
