İSTANBUL – Imprisoned co-mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Türk “ It is not necessary that my health conditions to be agenda of people. We know why we are here. I complain to lawlessness much more than illness” said to his lawyer.


Lawyer Zeynep Ceren Boztoprak visited her client co-mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Türk and shared some information about Türk’s prison conditions. “ Ahmet Türk needs to have a cataract surgery but he doesn’t lean toward the surgery because of unclear conditions. Normally he should have been checked by a cardiologist but this is nearly impossible in prison” said Boztoprak.


Boztoprak also remarked that Ahmet Türk has pace maker. “ He is damaged while he passes from X-ray machine. He must pass into the machine several times when he goes to doctor. This is also problem for him” said Boztoprak.


“ Last week he had blood and urine test. But result didn’t received yet. Prosecutor asked by his initiative to prepare a committee report for Ahmet Türk. But it didn’t prepared yet” mentioned Boztoprak. Despite to prepared report by Ahmet Türk’s doctor, authorities ignored Türk’s health issues, says lawyer Boztoprak.


Ceren Boztoprak also said Ahmet Türk is annoyed to bring up the people’s agenda of his health. “ We know why we are here. I don’t see it is right that make busy the people’s agenda about my health issues. Please don’t put forward. İsolation is a torture. Bring up the isolation. I complaint to lawlessness much more than illnesses ” said Türk.
