ERBİL – Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Iraq Federal Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani made a press statement after the meeting. Both remarked “fight on terrorism”.

Barzani’s Statement.

“ We see very important this visitation. This meeting is a pointer of Turkish People’s supporting to Kurdistan Region. We hope Turkey will be successful on fighting against terrorism. We want to improve our relations on fields.

Yıldırım’s Statement

We had useful meeting both in Baghdad and Erbil. We had two main agendas on the meetings. First fighting against terrorism, second economic relations. Both Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) not only Turkey’s problem but also problem for Iraq and Syria.

It is never acceptable attacks of PKK against Turkey’s lands. It will be done whatever is necessary to be done. Nesting on Sinjar region by PKK is not acceptable by us.

This is a security issue. Not only Turkey’s but also yours. They displaced the Arabs and Peshmerghes in Sinjar. We know what they are doing however they change their names. These are derived from PKK. YPG means PKK for us
