İSTANBUL – Reina attacker Abdulgadir Masharipov “ the target was Taksim but after I saw

intensive security measure , I decided to change target as Reine” gave statement to police.

Abdulgadir Masharipov who slaughtered dozens civilian in the club had been taken into custody on Monday evening in Esenyurt-İstanbul. According to Hurriyet Newspaper, Masharipov had received weapon training in Afghanistan in Al-Qaeda camp then joint to ISIL.

“ I came to Turkey from Iran by given direction and I settled to Konya city. I received an instruction from Raqqa when I was in Konya. An instruction which was expected an attack to Taksim in New year eve. I came to Taksim that night but I was seeing that impossible to go on action due to high level security measure. I contact again with person who sent me instruction. And we both agreed that Taksim is not possible to go on action. Then I received another instruction which ordered to find new target.

Then I took a cab and look around the coast line. Reina was seen right place. Because there was no high security measure.Then I came back to Zeytinburnu and took my gun from house and returned to Reina and carried out the attack” said Masharipov.
