DİYARBAKIR –Mardin Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Ahmet Türk “ I have been in the politic at every period and I was downtrodden. Numbers sues and investigations opened against me” said on “Main case of KCK”.

71th first trial of “ Main case of Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK)” was heard on Diyarbakır Second Heavy Penal Court today. Imprisoned Mardin Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Ahmet Türk, Kurdish politicians Ferhan Türk and Ramazan Debe attended the trial. Numbers of people observed the trial included Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) PMs Meral Danış Beştaş, Nadir Yıldırım, Osman Baydemir,Feleknas Uca, Nimettullah Erdoğmuş and Ahmet Yıldırım.

Here is the summary of Ahmet Türk’s statement ;

“I have been in the politic at every period and I was downtrodden. Numbers sues and investigations opened against me. I was sued because of my speech of Newroz on 2012. Newroz has been celebrating for years on this region. Newroz was banned on that year and I had speech for five minutes. Neither I argued with security forces nor any problem. Also there is no lawful charges on this accusation. The speech I spoke with my lawyer and spoke at home as politician were shown as evidences. There is nothing acceptable on this accusation. I m a politician since 1973 and I don’t accept the accusation against me” said Türk.

After other Kurdish politicians statements Ahmet Türk demanded to transferred to Diyarbakır because his health condition is not available to travel. But chief judge “We also demanded to transfer you. But it was denied. They transferred you to Elazığ. The decision is not beyond our power” said to Ahmet Türk.

The case was delayed to 25 January after the statements.
