DİYARBAKIR – Women PMs of HDP will start to run ‘No’ campaign in Diyarbakır tomorrow. PMs Feleknas Uca and Sibel Yiğitalp said “We will explain to people why we need to vote ‘No’ from house to house and from street to street.”

Women PMs of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Feleknas Uca and Sibel Yiğitalp commentated the constitutional amendment. PMs said that they will start to run ‘No’ campaign from house to house in Diyarbakır from tomorrow on.

HDP Diyarbakır PM Feleknas Uca “ Exist constitution had been written on base of “ Single state, single nation and single language. There is no women rights in this constitution. Because mentality of the state is based on masculine mind. Women corresponds half population of this country but their freedom isn’t recognized and they are behaved as women don’t exist. There are a few women in politic. For example there is only one minister in AKP Government or there is no women in any commission of the assembly” said.

“ HDP is the first and the only party that constituted woman council to agenda women problems. Therefore women protects and support HDP. We will say ‘No’ for new constitution because of there is nothing about women’s existence” said Uca.

Uca also mentioned that they will start to run campaign with a declaration. “ our co-chairs, PMs and co-mayors are jailed since 81 days. We had run an election campaign under the hard conditions. We will also run ‘No’ campaign under the State of Emergency. There is only one decision we have under all of these hard conditions. Make stronger our struggle. We will run a campaign from house to house if it is necessary. People will not accept a system of dictatorship. We will start the campaign in Amed and publish declaration as women on January 26” said Uca.

HDP Diyarbakır PM Sibel Yiğitalp “ the wildest war policies in conducted in Kurdistan and they want legalize it as changing the constitution. At first they aim the lead women” said.

“ We didn’t accept the 82 coup’s constitution because it didn’t provide the population’s needs. This new constitution is get out of the 82 coup’s constitution” said Yiğitalp
