NEWS BUEROU – Prisons which are between 1.500 and 5.000 capacities are constructed in numbers cities of Turkey after increase in arrests. Mayor is praising of the skies to ongoing construction prison in Türkoğlu- Maraş and shows as employment area.

Arrests increased after decelerating the State of Emergency in Turkey. Numbers of new prisons are constructed due to full capacity of the total prisons. Those new prisons will be between 1.500 and 5.000 capacities.


Constructions are continuing in Manisa, Türkoğlu-Maraş, Mersin,Adana,Islahiye-Antep, Patnos-Ağrı and Erzurum.

Mayor of Türkoğlu Osman Okumuş statement is attention grabbing about the ongoing prison construction. Okumuş describe the prison construction as a campaign pledge in his statement in municipality website.

“One of the biggest prison in Turkey is constructed in our town. We want to thank all people those contributed. Here one is not a standard prison but it is one of the greatest prison complex. There will be also 10 buildings with five floors for prison’s personnel. Therefore many employers’ will be hired from our town. Also prisoners’ visitors will have to stay at hotels when they come to visitation. There will be 10 different workshops for prisoner which aim to production by prisoners. This is also will be benefit of our town economy. So our election campaign pledge is came true” said in written statement.
