İSTANBUL – HDP Diyarbakır Parliamentarian İdris Baluken came out of prison after three months imprisoned in Kandıra Prison.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Parliamentarian and İmralı Committee member İdris Baluken made a short statement after he released with some HDP PMs in front of the prison.

“ If number of politicians are in prison more than in a party headquarter , we can see how democracy Turkey has. There are also journalists, art makers who some of them are sick in prison. Therefore I can’t say thay I am totally happy that I was released from the prison.

As long as Our co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ and members of our party’s parliamentarian is kept in prison, there is no legitimacy of the referendum. Therefore I hope they will return from this misguided.

Another thing I want to mention is that as a parliamentarian in 21th century, I was kept three months in a middle age’s prison under the isolation conditions. Isolation, lockdown is a crime against humanity. Peoples of Turkey should know that ; We were supporting the peace , democracy and freedom while we were put in jail. We were saying same things inside too. We are also saying same things today; Peace, democracy and freedom. Because every citizen of this country deserve it” said Baluken.
