Eight Members of Association Jailed

MERSİN – Eight members of PSAKD and Peoples Associaton were jailed whose torture pictures appeared during the detention.

13 members of Pir Sultan Abdal Culture Association (PSAKD) and Peoples’ Association were sent to court house after 14 days detention in Police Headquarter of Mersin.

Detained people were charged “being member of illegal organization” by prosecution. Prosecutor demanded to arrest the members who were also on hunger strike during detention and exposed to torture. Dilan Ekin,Gülbeyaz Karaer, Seval Arıcı, Ercan Fırat, Erkan Koyuncu, Merih Cengiz, Uğur Kan and Yusuf Şah were jailed by court decision on charges of “being member of illegal organization” and other five people were released a.

Participating to Group Yorum Concert and attending the press statement about October 10 Ankara Massacre were shown as evidences to “being member of illegal organization”.
