İSTANBUL – HDK co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit “ We all contributed efforts this country. So we will not let one person seizes to our freedom and destroy it” said. Co-spokesperson Onur Hamzaoğlu stated “ We will tell people what we gain if we say ‘No’ and what we lose if we say ‘Yes’”.

Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) issued its second general council meeting of seventh session in Taxim Hill Hotel in İstanbul. Co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit and Onur Hamzaoğlu made speech to participators.

Co-spokesperson Hamzaoğlu mentioned “ We are doing our meeting on centenary of the October Revolution. We should know everything will happen is on our own hands. We are facing with a group who acts for it’s own hands. 18 Decree with Power of Law were published since 15 July 2016. State of Emergency was extended for 9 months and almost 100 thousands people were discharged. Also thousands of politicians included Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairs, parliamentarians and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-mayors are imprisoned despite the constitution rights. But we can save the country from darkness way on referendum. We should tell the people what we gain with if we say ‘No’ and what we lose if we say ‘Yes’.”

HDK co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit stated “We are facing with insisting implementations. AKP (Justice and Development Party) brought to Turkey on the July 15 line despite we didn’t want it. They claimed July 15 was a coup attempt towards the peoples but they use it against peoples, democrats and they want to crown it with constitutional amendment. Core of this constitution was prepared in a sort of way of HDK’s perspective. We are facing with a constitution which quite opposite of the radical democracy. There is nothing new to say for society by AKP power. They can’t even defense what they supported on 2002. All people even AKP supporters know What AKP is now.
