Academicians : We persevere with head held high even we were discharged

ANKARA – Discharged academicians of Ankara University stated “ We persevere with head held high even we were discharged”.


Academicians of Ankara University made a press statement in Ankara Cebeci Campus after they were discharged by Decree with Power of Law. Hundreds academicians and Republic People Party (CHP) PMs attended to press statement.


Police forces blockaded all campus gates with TOMA (Intervention Vehicle to Social İncidents) while academicians were making press statement.


Previously discharged academician Aysun Gezen mentioned that faculty members whose support autonomy for universities were targeted by these decrees. “ The ones who support free science, enlightenment are targeted. They want to detract from the universities as showing crime to demand peace. But we are here with solidarity. We state again that we will persevere even we were discharged”
