Ahmet Türk : I wish the negotiation didn't cut with Öcalan

MARDİN – Kurdish politician and discharged Mardin co-mayor Ahmet Türk remarked if government keeps negotiate with Öcalan there will not be any conflict. “ The ones who supports the war and believes to stop Kurds by violence , cut negotiation with Öcalan. I wish they shouldn’t have cut…” said Türk.

Ahmet Türk considered ‘peace process’ between Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and Government which started on 2013.

“We had mentioned that negotiation would be beginning of democratic solution with democratic methods. Öcalan had tol ‘I had a serious meeting with the state but I don’t know what they are thinking’ on the first meeting. He also mentioned that solution is inescapable with democratic methods” said Türk.

“ Öcalan principals on the negotiation based on rights, freedom and local government. Of course he had said that process might take longer. And it took as he said. But later He and our other friends from the party started to meet again. But government destroyed the negotiation table after June 7 general election” said Türk
