ANKARA – Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey (YSK) announced that referendum will be on April 16.

Chair of YSK Sadi Güven made press statement and said that the referendum for constitutional amendment will be conducted on April 16.


Güven “ There are 55 million 336 thausand 960 Turkish citizen who has right to vote in Turkey and other countries. There will be 160 thousand ballot boxes in referendum. Two million 929 thausand 389 voter are living from other countries. Therefore we are also planning to set ballot boxes in 57 different countries, 119 representation offices and 32 ports of entry” said.

Güven also stated that voting process for abroad will begin on March 27 until April 9.r.
