DİYARBAKIR – DBP vice co-chair Seydi Fırat, Halis Bilen and Ramazan Özbek is facing up to 22.5 years prison sentence due to activities in DTK. It was also came to light that DTK was wiretapped during the peace process and its symposium and workshops were shown as evidences for crimes.
Accusation was presented to the court for imprisoned Democratic Regions Party (DBP) vice co-chair Seydi Fırat,Ramazan Özbek and Halis Bilen. Politicians are facing up to 22.5 years prison sentence on charges of “being member of illegal organization”.
According to accusation’s file DTK executives’ phone was wiretapped during the Peace Process between Government and Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan. It was also reported that numbers activities carried out on behalf of DTK were shown evidences to “being member of illegal organization”.
The trial will be heard on May on Diyarbakır Eight Heavy Penal Court.
