İSTANBUL – Newspaper wholesaler Emrah Bal who was knifed during he detained said “I felt knife got into my back. When I touch, my hand left with blood”.

Toplumsal Özgürlük Newspaper wholesaler Emrah Bal (32) claimed that he was knifed on February 9 when he was taken into custody because he was deserter in Sultangazi-İstanbul. According to Bal, police threated himself while he was sent to police department. “ You will see a few moment later. You are terrorist and you work for illegal organization” said police, according to Bal.

“I was sent to hospital after I was questioned. I went in cabin with two police. Doctor wasn’t there. Police wanted to take off the handcuff from the behind. At that moment I felt a knife got into my back. When I touched my back, blood was on my hands. Then doctor came and furnished medical attention. He said that there is nothing serious. I asked to report it from him. But he didn’t despite I insisted” said Bal.

Bal also stated that he will make an allegation by his lawyer.
