İZMİR – Lawyer Farma Demirer said “ Prisoner named Şirvan Birlik who is on indefinite hunger strike without rotation was bleeding from his throat. Another prisoner named Özkan Yaşar was brought to see me by medical personnel’s help. Zana Yatkın who is on hunger strike as well has focusing problem because of hunger strike.”



Lawyer Fatma Demirer spoke to dihaber about indefinite hunger strike without rotation in Şakran Prison since 62 days after she visited to prisoners.




Demirer remarked prisoners’ problem during hunger strike in prison. Demirer “ There are a great difference about looking and hearing after hunger strike. There are also some other serious problems such as disturbed sleep, headache and dizziness. For examples prisoners can sleep three or four hours since hunger strike. That shows us how this situation became serious” said.



Demirer also told doctors can check prisoners two times in a day. “ But medical personnel, nurse , visits often. But they can only measure tension and weight control. We were told that prisoners are complaining doctor’s treatments. Doctor doesn’t check carefully to the prisoners’ complaints” said Demirer.
