ANKARA – HDP released its referendum report. According to report , two thousand 462 campaigner of HDP were taken into custody and 453 were jailed during referendum campaign. In a thousand 177 ballot boxes’ result which HDP’s observers were blocked attend to observe were 90 percent ‘Yes’.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Press Bureau released 67 pages report of referendum result. There are also some statistics and rights violation towards HDP campaigner during referendum campaign and voting process.

The report was released under five title ;

A. The biggest violation was made in front of public’s eyes. The decision of YSK ( Supreme Committee of Election) which considered valid unsealed voting is clearly unlawful. There is no democratic legality by this unlawful decision. YSK lost its reliability and became unreliable institution.

B. 2462 people ( 2165 are HDP and its components members ) were taken into custody during referendum campaign and 453 people ( 429 are HDP and its components’ members) were jailed. Also According to we received data, 29 people were exposed to attack, one person lost his/her life during ‘No’ campaign.

C. Referendum process was conducted unequal circumstances and Government planned a referendum process without HDP. It need to look at the past to understand this;


“ Referendum campaign of HDP was blocked by government by jailing 13 lawmakers of HDP included co-chairs, executives and members. After failed coup attempt on July 15 at least six thousand 500 members and supporters of HDP were taken into custody and at least one thousand 600 of then were jailed” mentioned in the report.

a) 135 provinces (City and county) co-chairs of HDP were jailed.

b) 13 lawmakers, two central committee executives’ members , five party council members of HDP were jailed.

c) 83 co-mayors of HDP’s component ( Democratic Regions Party) were jailed and trustees were appointed to 84 municipalities of DBP was elected.



D. Referendum process of AKP was supported by medias that founded by state’s money. Also all resources of state were served to AKP’s power.



E. HDP’s observers and polling clerks were exposed to grave pressures during voting process
