DİYARBAKIR – HDP lawmaker of Hakkari Nihat Akdoğan was released after six months imprisonment. Akdoğan stated “ Power removed immunity of lawmakers and provided immunity shiled for generals who bombed the assembly and numbers city” in his trial.
Trial of HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Hakkari lawmaker Nihat Akdoğan was heard in Diyarbakır Courthouse. Lawmaker Akdoğan attended the trial by SEGBİS ( Sound and Image Information System) from Silivri Prison. It was reported HDP lawmakers Ahmet Yıldırım, Feleknas Uca, Ziya Pir and Meral Danış Beştaş observed the trial.
Akdoğan “ Operations were conducted towards HDP after the reality of June 7 Election. There is no any legal basic of this judgement. I am judged by accusation which was prepared by prosecutors who are charged being member of FETÖ. A prosecutor accused me as “aiding and abetting to illegal organization” because I asked parliamentary question to Interior Ministry” said Akdoğan.
“ We insistently told this is a coup when curfew was declared. Power condoned the unlawful curfews declaring. Power also removed immunity of lawmakers and provide immunity shield for generals whom bombed the assembly and cities” stated Akdoğan.
Despite prosecutor asked continuation of arresting to Akdoğan, court board decided to be released.
