Turkey blocks to access Wikipedia

NEWS BUREAU – The Turkey Blocked monitoring network has verified restrictions affecting the Wikipedia online encyclopedia in Turkey


The biggest open online encyclopedia in the world Wikipedia was blocked in Turkey without any justification. A block affecting all language editions of the website detected at 8:00AM local time Saturday 29 April.

The BTK ( Information and Communication Technologies Authority) portal reported that the site has been blocked under a provisional administrative order.
