İSTANBUL – Bakırköy People Bazaar overflow with people for May 1 Celebration. Hundred thousand people attended the celebration by “ No, it didn’t finish yet, just beginning” ( Hayır bitmedi, yeni başlıyor) chanting.

May 1 Celebration led by DİSK ( Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey), KESK ( Confederation of Public Employees Trade Unions), TTB ( Turkish Medical Association) and TMMOB ( Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects) began with hundred thousand people in Bakırköy People Bazaar of İstanbul.

Chair of DİSK Kani Beko, chair of TMMOB Emin Koramaz, co-chairs of KESK Lami Özgen and Şaziye Öncer, TTB council chair Raşit Tüke entered the area together.

It was also reported number of parties, associations included HDK ( Peoples’ Democratic Congress) attended the demonstration in İstanbul. HDK cortege came to the field with “ Faşizme Hayır! Yaşasın Demokratik Cumhuriyet” ( No to Fascism ! Long live Democratic Republic” banner. HDP ( Peoples’ Democratic Party) youth council entered the area with “ Insisting for socialism is insisting to being human” ( Sosyalizmde ısrar, insan olmakta ısrardır) banner.

It was also reported numbers of journalist, dismissed academicians also participated the May 1 Celebration.
