NEWS BUREAU - Eight people among 25 who were taken into custody in Manisa and Aydın were jailed. It was also reported numbers people were taken into custody in Istanbul at this early morning hours.

18 people who were taken into custody by police raids in Salihli County of Manisa on May 9 were sent into courthouse of Manisa. Prosecution send 18 people to the court for arrest on claim of “being member of illegal organization”. Hamit Toktaş and Hatice Toktaş were jailed and 15 were released after court board’s decision.

Seven people included Aydın University’s student were sent into courthouse after they were taken into custody and five of them were jailed while two were released by juridical control decision.

It was also reported numbers houses were raided by police forces in Istanbul at this early morning hours. After the police raid and searching a number people included Etkin News Agency (ETHA) reporter Pınar Geyip were taken into custody and sent to police headquarter of Istanbul.
