ANKARA – Police forces intervened people who came to Yüksel Street of Ankara for protesting detention of discharged academicians Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça. It was reported four protestors were taken into custody.
Police intervened to supporters of discharged academicians Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça right after academicians were taken into custody. It was reported police dispelled protestors around statue in Yüksel Street of Ankara. In the meantime, discharged labor Veli Saçılık step up on to the statue and screamed that they are not going to leave here. Police battered Saçılık while Müslim Bezirgan, Bilgi Işılyılmaz, Ömer Akyel and Sibel Bağlaç were taken into custody by battering.
It was also reported police closed all roads to Yüksel Street and seized all banners and flowers which has put on the statue for supporting academicians.
