DİYARBAKIR - Demolition of Alipaşa and Lalebey Neighborhoods of Sur has began under the name of ‘ Urban Transformation’. It was reported demolition is conducted under protection police forces and armored vehicles.

Over hundred police and scoops entered the Alipaşa and Lalebey Neighborhoods of Sur county to demolish the houses from this early morning hours. Residents of the neighborhoods reacted to police and the decision while demolition began. During the protest, police intervened to citizen.

It was also reported water works department of Diyarbakır cut the water supply when demolition has began.
