DİYARBAKIR –Complainant police officer Cengiz Başaran reacted to defendant of the case of bomb attack towards police headquarter of Çınar and said “ The ones who pleads in Kurdish in the court of Turkey will be considered as they accepted this attack.”



Second trial of bomb attacks towards Police Headquarter of Çınar where six people included a police officer lost their life and 48 people wounded during attack was heard in Eighth Heavy Penal Court of Diyarbakır. Imprisoned defendant Nurettin Cengiz, Mustafa Argın, Harun Argın and İzzet Özen who had released on conditions of trial without arrest attended the trial.



Complainant police officer Cengiz Başaran who lost his wife during attack also attended the trial. Defendant Mustafa Argün gave statement in Kurdish by interpreter. “ I have been jailed since 14 month and I don’t know why I am here. I never been in Çınar in my life” said Argün and denied claims towards him.




Nurettin Cengiz said he has no connection with the attack and said “ I bought the vehicle from auto gallery. Last time I used the vehicle was three days ago before the attack and then it was stolen.”



After Cengiz, police officer Cengiz Başaran claimed there are contradictory statements and said “ The ones who gives statement in Kurdish in court of Turkey is to being considered as they accept that they have connection with bomb attack.”




After the statement prosecutor demanded continuation of detention. Court board decided to keep continue to jail defendant and delayed the case on September.
