ANKARA – It was reported refugee girlrs under 18-year-old are forced to marry with older men by aged. It is also claimed Syria United Turkmen Association (SUTA) involved this forcing.



It was claimed SUTA Ankara office representative Leyla Süleyman offered Syrian refugee families to aging their girls and marrying with older men in exchange for five thousand Turkish Lira ( 1250 Euro). According to witness statement, over 300 refugee girls were forced to marry with older men in Turkey until now.



According to witnesses, specially men from Çorum and Yozgat are marrying with refugee girls after they were aged over 18 exchange money. It was reportedly told SUTA representatives are mediating between Turkish men and Syrian refugee family.

According to document dihaber received , one of the refugee girls named K.O who is from Aleppo and born March 16 of 2002 was aged three years by an illegal organization and forced to being married. It was reported K.O will be married after Ramadan.



A coiffeur who prepare bride for wedding said “Children are sent to my place to prepare for wedding. Those children are 13-14-15-year-old. I am told to show children over 18-year-old by makeup. I received around 20 children to prepare for wedding. But I know there are some other coiffeur which children are sent.”
