Life comes to a stopping point in Diyarbakır due to ongoing curfew

DİYARBAKIR – Life came to a stopping point in rural of Diyarbakır because of curfew. Curfew was declared 28 times in seven counties of Dİyarbakır since January 2017 and it continued 101 days in total. The longest curfew continued 50 days in Lice county and curfew is still continuing in six neighborhoods of Sur since 18 months.



Agriculture and stockbreeding incapacitated due to curfew in Diyarbakır. Villagers can’t conduct economic activity such as agriculture and stockbreeding. Further to that villagers have to migrate to city center from their villages.
