HAKKARİ / ŞIRNAK – It was reported a lieutenant lost his life and six soldiers, two rural guards were wounded during conflict in Çukurca county of Hakkari and Uludere county of Şırnak.




It was reported an attack was organized by PKK ( Kurdistan Workers Party) towards Turkish Armed Forces’ (TSK) convoy during passing to Van from Çukurca county of Hakkari. It was reported a lieutenant lost his life and five soldiers were wounded during attack. Wounded soldiers were sent to hospital for medical treatment.

Hakkari Governorship confirmed the attack and stated a wide scale operation was launched after the attack.



Conflict occurred between PKK and TSK in rural of Uludere County of Şırnak yesterday at the night hours. According to first information, two rural guards and one specialist sergeant were wounded during conflict. Wounded guards and soldier were taken to hospital by helicopter.




It was also reported military operation is continuing in the region.
