DİYARBAKIR – CHP vice chairperson Zeynep Altıok who came to Diyarbakır with CHP committee for inspecting Sur county of Diyarbakır where destruction is continuing. Altıok said “ Assimilation is carried out systematically in Sur.”
CHP (Republic People Party) Committee included lawmakers Zeynep Altıok, İbrahim Özdaş ve Gülay Yedekçi examined on the side of Sur . CHP firstly made a press statement at its province office of Diyarbakır. Altıok reminded that they came to Diyarbakır from Justice March and they are aware that people of Diyarbakır have been suffering for long time.
“ We took the road for justice everyone. Therefore we will continue to being voice of everyone who is facing with injustice. Curfew caused to many death of people. We all know curfew and blockaded are continuing since 655 days in this city. Unfortunately those people who lost 91 civilian among them are facing with lose their houses. Over 45 thousand people had to migrate during curfew in Sur. This is also an assimilation policy which is carried out systematically. An action to sever all ties between people and their history. People live in Sur also are witnessing to destruction of thousand years culture and history” said Altıok.
Lawmaker Altıok stated they came listen to all people in Diyarbakır. “ We will listen public laborers, administrative chiefs and aggrieved party. Then we will declare a report” said Altıok.
