ANKARA – CHP lawmaker Tuncay Özkan “ Demirtaş spoke out important things but his cry of peace got lost due to created chaos” said.


Justice March is continuing since nine days. The march is transforming a public opposition after people from every walk of life began to support the march. CHP (Republic People Party) lawmaker Tuncay Özkan who had visited HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş in prison and told “ We need to listen to Demirtaş, he will announce important things” is one of the attender of the justice march.




Özkan repeated his speech about imprisoned Selahattin Demirtaş. “ This justice march is not only for lawmakers Berberolu, Demirtaş or Cumhuriyet journalists. This march involves anyone” said Özkan.




“ Demirtaş already told what He needs to tell about peace. He told enough about the conditions for living together. He told that he is against weapons. Those all things are what Turkey missed. But his cry of the peace got lost due to created chaos. This march is outbreak of Demirtaş’ scream. We all want to justice, freedom, peace” said Özkan.



Özkan also told justice march should be for people from every walk of life.

It was reported chairperson of Diyarbakır Bar Ahmet Özer attended to justice march too. Özer “ We don’t look at the march as only for one side of Turkey. Justice problem has raised after tens thousand public laborers were discharged, trustees were appointed to municipalities and elected politicians were jailed” said.

“ We shared our opinion many times about removing immunity of lawmakers. But unfortunately immunity of lawmakers were removed and representatives of people were jailed. Therefore I think this march should be not only for one side of society but for all of them. We came here as Diyarbakır Bar to represent our critics. This march should not only aim to Maltepe Prison but also Kocaeli, Edirne, Silivri, Ağrı, Hatay prisons as well.




Kurds have suspicious and critics on this march. Kurds think CHP was the party which vote yes for removing immunity and stayed silence when HDP lawmakers were jailed. They have right to think. Because one lawmaker is not a lawmaker of a region but a lawmaker of all side of Turkey” said Özer.
