RAQQA – One more neighborhood was liberated from DAİŞ in Raqqa. The first thing residents is doing in six neighborhoods that liberated from DAİŞ is shaving beard.
Six neighborhoods of Raqqa was liberated by QSD ( Democratic Syrian Forces) from DAİŞ ( Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) during operation named ‘Great War’ towards Raqqa. After neighborhoods were liberated daily life becomes normal. It was reported the first shop was opened after Sebahiye Neighborhoods was liberated is Berber Shop. Mihemed Seid from Raqqa says he reopened his berber shop a week ago. Seid’s first customers are QSD fighters. According to Seid, he had to grow beard because of DAİŞ.

“ I opened my shop by QSD fighters’ helping a week ago. My customers are increasing day by day. I was punished by DAİŞ because I cut some people’s beards and I was kept as tied in front of my shop for four days. I was also punished with 40 slaps. All people saw me when they were punishing me. People didn’t want to grow beard nor a life they asked” said Seid.
