İZMİR – Migration and Asylum Commission of İzmir Bar released a report about rights violation in repatriation centers. According to report, lawyers are blocked to receive information about refugees in the centers.


Migration and Asylum Commission of İzmir Bar released a report titled “ Access to Justice Issues on the Main Frame in repatriation centers of İzmir”. According to report, the lack of legal aid claims of foreigners who have been given decisions that may result in the liberty of being deprived of their right to life and sometimes of their deprivation of liberty, such as the right to extinction and administrative supervision on their rights, don’t conform to the ordinary course of life. It was also reported lawyers are having problem to access the information about refugees in the centers.

Refugees are not benefited from the right of petition and can’t receive even pen from repatriation centers, said in the report. It was also reported that even refugees write petition, It is not accepted by authorities.
