ANKARA – HDP spokesperson Osman Baydemir told coup attempt was converted to ‘favour’ for government and added “ At first we weren’t invited for event of July 15 then invitation was sent to wrong address! Because Yüksekdağ and Demirtaş are in prison right now. Invitation should be made to them. They are in prison because coup attempt’s result. Therefore we will not attend the event.”



Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) spokesperson Osman Baydemir made a press conference at headquarter of HDP. Baydemir started his speech with second trail of Suruç Massacre and seven years and six months prison sentence. “ Jailing lawmakers is a conducted coup towards elected lawmakers by Erdoğan. Suruç Massacre was an attack which was aiming to build up a coup mechanism. It is reality that July 15 was a coup attempt. It is real that a large number of citizen lost their life during July 15. We commemorate all people who lost their life during July 15. We also commemorate people who lost their life after peace table was destroyed by government. Those are victim of the war policies. Struggling against coup attempts will be our duty. We will keep continue to stand against coups wherever it comes from” said Baydemir.



“ A preventable coup attempt was converted to a ‘favour’ which comes from the god. Because declared state of emergency is a coup against legal opposition parties. This coup began on November 4th when HDP co-chairs and lawmakers were jailed. Law was razed after immunity lawmakers were removed and lawmakers were jailed” said Baydemir to the press.



Baydemir also spoke about detained human right activists. “ Confidentially order was given for investigation. But some media outlets which are supported by government are still claiming something about activists. They are almost deciding what activists have done before judgment decides. Human Rights problem is not only a country’s problem but whole world’s” said
