İSTANBUL – HDP made a written statement over one year passed State of Emergency and described as ‘coup without boots’ (civil coup).

Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) made a written statement about one year passed over declaration of State of Emergency. HDK described coup attempt of July 15 as ‘controlled coup’ and mentioned the real coup was conducted on July 20 by declaration state of emergency.

“ July 20’s decision entirely was ‘coup without boots’. Erdoğan aimed to get rid of from opponents by these decisions and declared war against all democratic and revolutionist fronts. Human rights were suspended by decrees and fascistic state of emergency. 108 thousand 25 people were dismissed from their jobs without juridical process, hundreds associations, media outlets were closed by decree” said HDK in the statement .

HDK also reminded referendum process was passed under state of emergency and despite people vote ‘No’, AKP had changed the result of Referendum by coup.

“ As HDK we mentioned again that July 20 0f 2016 is institutionalized of June 7 of 2015. The only way to get rid of from state of emergency’s fascism is passing from a democratic struggle. We call all democracy, freedom sides to unite under the Democratic Front” said HDK in the statement.
