ANKARA – Police intervened the protestors who gathered in Ankara for solidarity with educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça. It was reported at least 30 protestors were taken into custody during intervention and one protestor’s arm was broken.
Police harshly intervened to protestors who gathered for solidarity with Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça in the 137th days of hunger strike. The meeting was conducted by Solidarity Platform for Nuriye and Semih which was established by 43 institutions. It was reported at least 30 protestors were taken into custody during intervention.
It was also reported one protestor’s arm was broken during police intervention. Meanwhile police didn’t allowed journalists to follow the event.
